Terms of Service

1. Overview

These terms govern the web design and hosting services provided by Liam Websites (“we”, “us”, “our”), a trading name of Liam Eyres. By purchasing our services you agree to these terms in full.

2. Services

We provide custom website design, development, and hosting. The scope of each project is agreed before work begins and confirmed in a signed contract.

3. Pricing & Payment

• A £500 deposit is required to begin any project. This is non-refundable once work has commenced.
• After your site goes live, a monthly subscription of £297/month begins. This covers hosting, maintenance, and ongoing support.
• The minimum subscription term is 12 months. After 12 months you may cancel at any time with 30 days’ written notice.
• All payments are processed securely via Stripe. Prices are in GBP and exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

4. Website Ownership

While subscribed, you have full use of your website. If you cancel your subscription and wish to take ownership of the source code and assets, a one-off transfer fee of £300 applies. Once paid, all files are handed over and become your property.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

• The £500 deposit is non-refundable once design or development work has started.
• If we have not yet started work, the deposit can be refunded in full.
• Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled after the 12-month minimum term with 30 days’ notice.
• Upon cancellation, your website will be taken offline within 14 days of the final payment date unless you pay the £300 transfer fee to take ownership.

6. Non-Payment

If a monthly payment fails, we will notify you and allow a 7-day grace period to resolve the issue. If payment is not received within 14 days, your website will be temporarily suspended. If payment remains outstanding after 30 days, the contract will be treated as an early cancellation and the remaining balance of the minimum term becomes payable. The site may be permanently taken offline.

7. Timelines

We aim to deliver most websites within 3–7 business days of receiving your completed brief. Complex projects may take longer. We’ll always let you know upfront.

8. Revisions

Your subscription includes 1 round of design revisions per quarter. A “round” consists of a single set of feedback submitted at one time, covering changes to layout, content, colours, and images within the agreed scope.

Major redesigns, additional pages beyond the original 5-page scope (£150 per additional page), and feature add-ons are quoted and agreed separately before work begins.

9. What Is Not Included

The following are not included in the standard subscription and are available as paid add-ons:

• Additional pages beyond 5 (£150 per page)
• E-commerce functionality (from £500 setup + £50/month)
• Booking/calendar integration (from £300 setup + £30/month)
• Ongoing content updates retainer (£97/month)
• Logo design (from £250)
• Google Business Profile setup (£150)
• Monthly SEO management (£197/month)
• Full site redesign after 12 months (£500)

All add-ons are quoted and agreed in writing before any work begins.

10. Liability

We take reasonable care in building and hosting your website but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Intellectual Property

All content you provide (text, images, logos) remains your property. The website design and code remain our property until the transfer fee is paid. We reserve the right to showcase your website in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
